The results of Foresight’s research and engagement initiatives across the Province were unequivocal. “BC has an emerging cleantech cluster with enormous potential, and we are ready for bold moves and global cleantech leadership” said Jeanette Jackson, CEO of Foresight. “With over 50% of the Canadian companies on the 2020 Global Cleantech Top 100 list from BC, the interest is high and the time is now to scale up this industry.”
“Our government’s CleanBC plan will do more than just reduce pollution – it will also create new economic opportunities and spur innovation in the clean energy sector,” said Bruce Ralston, Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources. “While British Columbia is already home to some of the top cleantech companies in the world, launching a Cleantech Cluster will ensure we continue to be a global leader in the growing market for low-carbon products and services.”

A Cleantech Cluster organization represents an enormous opportunity for energizing and raising competitiveness of the cleantech industry in Canada through strategic cluster activities, tools and support structures focused on the region’s unique strengths and characteristics.
