This year the Cobble Hill Fair celebrates 110 years of the past while cultivating the future. The fair is an opportunity for the South Cowichan Region to celebrate their rural heritage and character and agricultural roots.
The fair began in 1909, and it is a hallmark event hosted by the Shawnigan Cobble Hill Farmers Institute and Agricultural Society, to showcase their agricultural bounty, culture, industries and the incredible talents within their community.
The day kicks-off with a Rotary pancake breakfast and a parade officially opens the fair. You can then enjoy viewing exhibits, horse shows, outdoor activities and children’s games, livestock shows, demonstrations, vintage machinery and historical displays along with a variety of food vendors, local shopping and live entertainment.
Economic Development Cowichan is a proud sponsor of the Cobble Hill Fair which increases agricultural awareness, education and 4-H and Jr. Farmer opportunities to encourage further youth involvement in agriculture in the community.
Come and join the fun of the 110th Fair on Saturday, August 24, 2019. It is good family fun and rural charm at its best.
