Economic Development Cowichan (EDC) is seeking to hire a full-time Special Projects Assistant for up to 12 months to support economic diversification, as well as a casual Economic Development Analyst with a community planning background.
The temporary Special Projects Assistant will work closely with EDC staff to implement a number of current approved strategies and plans related to economic diversification, as well as support major initiatives in development. Duties will include: facilitating collaboration between diverse stakeholders on key economic development issues/opportunities, determining strategy recommendations with the most potential for positive impact, facilitating project planning discussions on moving key items forward, supporting partnerships and grant writing for funding applications, research and analysis, event management, and marketing and public relations.
The casual Economic Development Analyst will bring a community planning perspective to EDC projects as needed.
