Economic Development Cowichan (EDC) is seeking to hire a part-time (28 hours per week) Economic Development Analyst to support sub-regional groups in Cowichan for up to 12 months.

Cowichan village/town cores, critical components of our economic systems, have been particularly hard hit during COVID. Their vibrancy is key to rural economies building back better, including responding to climate change.

In recognition that different towns/villages may unique needs, EDC is delighted to be seeking an Economic Development Analyst that will focus on supporting motivated sub-regions in Cowichan move towards recovery. Workload will be prioritized based on recovery impact, and staff capacity.

The Economic Development Analyst will focus on supporting village/town cores, responding to and assisting with recovery from the impacts of COVID-19, promoting economic vitality, resilience, and reconciliation with First Nations people.
