Young Agrarians is hosting their third annual Land Forum online from November 14 to 30 to discuss agricultural land sharing in BC.
Young Agrarians deliver the BC Land Matching Program, which provides personalized land matching and business support services to farmers looking for land to start or expand their farm, and landholders interested in finding someone to farm their land. The Land Forum is an opportunity for landholders, land seekers, and anyone curious about land sharing to learn about the process. Land Forum session topics include:
- Leasing basics
- Skills-building in negotiation and communication to support the success of land sharing relationships
- Info on farm business planning and development
Participants will hear from Land Matchers, farmers and experts from around BC, and have opportunities to connect with farmers and landholders in their community at regional networking sessions.
For more information and to register for the Land Forum, visit the Young Agrarians website at https://youngagrarians.org/bc-land-forum-2022/.
The Cowichan Valley Regional District is proud to support Young Agrarians to deliver the BC Land Matching Program on Vancouver Island. Since launching the program on Vancouver Island in 2018, 19 matches have been made in the Cowichan region.
