The arts and cultural community has again come together with the local business sector to prove that downtown Duncan and the Cowichan Valley is “a rather fun place to be”. 39 Days of July presented by the Duncan Cowichan Festival Society offers 200 free scheduled musical events that are designed to bring community together and celebrate our diverse local and international music scenes.  It’s an opportunity for locals and visitors alike to take advantage of the concerts ambience, explore the surrounding shops and connect with community.

For each day of the week there are themed events including Showcase Mondays, Blues on Tuesdays, Walkabout Wednesdays, SuperSoul Thursdays, Fun Fridays, Sociable Saturdays and Event Sundays. During the week you can also order your favorite foods “to go” from many of the downtown eateries and join Lunch in the Park, a noon hour musical series showcasing local musicians. Many of the acts will perform on the Cowichan Summer Festival Stage located at Charles Hoey Memorial Park and on the City Square Stage.
