Economic Development Cowichan is pleased to spread the word about an exciting opportunity for farmers, landholders, and anyone passionate about regenerative agriculture in the Cowichan region. The Young Agrarians will be hosting their Land Linking Workshop on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at The Hub at Cowichan Station in Duncan. This workshop offers a valuable platform for connecting farmers seeking land with landholders interested in making their property available for agricultural use, helping build sustainable, locally-rooted food systems.
The Land Linking Workshop is designed to address one of the major barriers in agriculture today: land access. It’s an opportunity for prospective farmers and established landowners to meet, explore partnership possibilities, and gain practical tools and insights into creating long-term, beneficial land agreements. This workshop will feature a panel discussion where you will hear from matched farmers and farmland holders, plus a land access expert. Panelists will highlight key considerations for building and maintaining mutually beneficial land agreements.
