Community Futures Cowichan has partnered with Chambers of Commerce, Business Improvement Associations, and Tourism Cowichan to provide local businesses access to Wait Queue Management Solution, the most cost-effective and safest way for businesses to automate lineups during COVID-19.
Wait Queue Management Solution by Kuusoft allows retailers, restaurants, and other businesses to create a virtual queue of customers waiting to enter their business. The web-based app updates waiting customers with a text message when it is their turn to enter, so they don’t have to wait outside in the rain or in a crowd. Contact tracing is also built into the app. For more information on Wait, visit the developer website.
As part of this Cowichan Valley initiative, the licensing cost and first 100 customer text messages are free for one year for participating businesses. Additional text messages are charged at a deeply discounted rate of $0.06 per message. There are a limited number of free licenses available through this initiative. Contact one of the following partner organizations to inquire about obtaining a license:
- Tourism Cowichan
- Duncan Cowichan Chamber of Commerce
- Downtown Duncan Business Improvement Area
- Cowichan Lake District Chamber of Commerce
- Chemainus & District Chamber of Commerce
