The Firecircle’s Transition to Tourism Entrepreneurship (TTE) program is an exciting initiative designed to equip individuals in the tourism and hospitality sector with the tools and resources they need to thrive. Whether you have a business or business idea related to crafts, tours, guiding, workshops, transportation, accommodations or food services, the TTE program is here to support you.
The TTE program is the only comprehensive tourism business development program in Canada created to empower Canadian tourism and hospitality entrepreneurs living in communities of less than 250,000 to plan, launch and grow their tourism and hospitality businesses.
The TTE Program:
- Is self-paced and part-time
- Requires approximately 100 hours over 3 to 6 months
- Offers a step-by-step series of animated online video workshops, live group webinars, templates, resources
- Offers expert guidance delivered by a team of professional coaches and mentors to bring your tourism business vision to life
One of the unique aspects of the TTE program is its tailored approach, which addresses the individual needs and goals of participants. Whether you are launching a new tourism business or refining an existing one, you can receive guidance from industry experts through a combination of animated workshops, live group webinars, business plan mapping, and 1-on-1 mentorship sessions. The program will also connect you with other tourism entrepreneurs across Canada, fostering collaboration, idea-sharing, and networking opportunities that strengthen the broader tourism ecosystem. This comprehensive approach ensures that you are not just starting a business but building a sustainable one with long-term growth potential.
The program is valued at over $5,000 and is funded in part by the Government of Canada and in partnership with the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada. The program is accessed via a monthly $19.99 CDN technology platform subscription for the duration of the program (usually 3-9 months, depending on participant’s self-paced learning).
